When scuba diving in Bali you have a few choice destinations to choose from, aside form taking part in a Bali scuba live-aboard you can visit many different dive sites all of which can be found on line or through the Bali dive center. The best Bali dive expeditions include Menjangan Island National Park. This is a protected national park that is best known for its wall diving, the walls reaching depths that vary from 20 meters to 60+ meters with the most diverse example of gorgonian fans in all of Bali. Sites here start at 10 meters of coral reef flats that lead to great walls of beauty. The conditions here are generally calm with mild currents.

There are many other Bali diving sites some in open waters and others off shore. Secret Bay is a great site for those interested in macro life and not worried about first impressions as it is somewhat littered, but teaming with unusual creatures that are rarely seen on other Bali diving expeditions. Many of the Bali diving sites offer a wide range of wild life that is exotic and captivating such as mimic octopus, manta rays, diver fish and white tip reef sharks. Bali also offers a great experience in the geography of the ocean with sheer drops, reefs, reef covered walls and volcanic rock forms all adding to the nature and wildlife that inhabits the oceans you will explore.

Bali outside of the waters is usually a clam and serene place, many of the diving destinations have not taken on the hustle and technological bustle of much of today’s world. It can be an extremely relaxing place to visit and is defiantly suggested for families and mature visitors. Younger tourists have enjoyed Bali and it’s diving destinations but because of the lack of nightlife have sometimes complained of relaxation overload after only a few short days of peace and quiet. The Bali people are friendly and the food is a fun new experience as well as being delicious. Those looking for a great place to scuba dive and the calm relaxing environment will absolutely fall in love with Bali as your scuba diving destination!
